KMS is pleased to announce our transition to the SchoolMessenger mass messaging system which allows for automated attendance messages as well as safety alerts, school closures, and event reminders to be sent to parents and guardians via phone, email and/or text message.
All KMS students received a letter from the DOE announcing this new system. Please ask your child to share the letter with you or click on the link https://kawananakoams.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/DOE-2018_08_28_12_00_10.pdf
To ensure correct and timely delivery of all school messages to you, please make sure that your contact phone numbers and email addresses are kept updated with our school registrar.
Parents may have already received an invitation to “opt-in”on their mobile phones to receive text messages. The message should have read: “Hawaii Department of Education messages. Reply Y to confirm, HELP 4 information. Messages and data rates may apply. Message frequently varies. schoolmessenger.com/txt”. If you did not reply “Y” to the above text message, but would now like to opt-in for the text message alerts, please click on the link https://kawananakoams.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/SchoolMessenger-Flyer-.pdf for instructions.
