KMS SPEECH TEAM GOES FOR THE GOLD

tournament of the school year on Saturday, April 7 at the Punahou
Tabulated Speech Festival.
KMS BAND SCORES HIGH
The Kawananakoa Band participated in the Punchbowl Ensemble
Festival on March 2, at Stevenson Middle School. This joint event
with Stevenson MS and Central MS gave students the opportunity
to perform a short ensemble piece and then receive constructive
feedback from respected judges. Fifty-seven KMS band students
earned scores high enough to be awarded medals. Concert band
trumpet quartet (Dillon Ishimi, Abby Kiyosaki, Tyler Kuwabara,
and Austin Taniguchi) earned the only perfect score of the event.
Please join us in congratulating Mr. Jason Chin, band director,
and his hard working students, on a job well done!
