9TH GRADE REGISTRATION materials for current KMS 8th graders will be
distributed on Wednesday, November 28, to students who are currently projected
to attend a Honolulu district high school.

Registration materials will also be distributed to those who indicated that they
intend to apply for a GE (Geographic Exception) to McKinley and/or Farrington
High School.  Please note that Roosevelt registration cards will not be provided to
students who are applying for a GE to Roosevelt at this time.  They will receive
registration cards to complete if their GE is approved in April.  Students who
are projected to attend high school in the Windward, Central, or Leeward districts
will receive their materials during the second semester.

All current 8th graders must register for their home district high school. Students
who are applying for a GE to McKinley or Farrington may submit a registration
card with their GE application. Please be aware that submitting a registration card
and GE application to these schools does not guarantee admission.

Completed and signed registration cards are due to AA teachers by
Friday, December 7.

Only current KMS 8th graders will be allowed to pick up GE application forms from
the school main office now.  All other grades may pick up GE forms after January 1.
The GE application deadline is March 1, 2019.

7TH AND 8TH GRADE REGISTRATION (for school year 2019-20)
Registration materials will be distributed on Wednesday, December 12, to all
current 6th and 7th graders for the next school year.  Students will receive
registration cards (blue for current grade 6 and pink for current grade 7) along
with a Course Description Guide.

Please check that the address noted on the registration card is current and
correct.  For any address change, please submit a Demographic Change form
(available from the Registrar’s office) along with a proof of current residence
such as a utility bill (cable, electric, water), or property tax document. The
proof of residence document must be in the legal parent’s/guardian’s name.

Completed and signed registration cards are due to the AA class teacher
by Thursday, December 20.  Late submission of the registration card may
reduce the chances of getting an elective of the student’s choice.

Please contact our registrar, Mr. Oumi, at aric_oumi@notes.k12.hi.us if you
have any questions or concerns.
