DRESS CODE REMINDER – As the weather gets cooler and wetter, more 
students will want to wear a jacket or sweater.  Please remember:

  • Outerwear must have a zipper or buttons to allow the KMS logo on the

      front of their uniform t-shirt to be visible. 

  • Pullovers that cover the logo are not allowed.
  • Jacket hoods or caps should not be worn in class,  or while walking through

      any school building.  

  • Student IDs should be worn over  jackets or sweaters at all times.


HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION MEETING, for current 8th grade parents,
is scheduled for Thursday, November 15, from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm in
the KMS auditorium. If you have not done so yet,  please sign up by 
submitting the form below, to your child’s AA class by Monday, November 12.


Representatives from Farrington HS, McKinley HS and Roosevelt HS will 
present information about their schools’ programs and requirements,
in preparation for the upcoming 9th grade reqistration.  

Please note that this meeting will provide information that will be helpful to 
all parents regardless of what high school your student is planning to attend. 
Please join us!

Each year, the Kawananakoa Science Department organizes a school year-end trip
to the mainland.   This year, the group will adventuring to Orlando, Florida – Kennedy
Space Center, Universal Studios, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Sea World and more!

All students received information and sign up forms last week.  If your child did not
share this with you, please see the attachment below and attend one of the Parent
Meetings scheduled for November 14 and 15, 6:00 pm in room K302.

TEACHERS’ WISH LIST – Help our teachers, help our students
Team 7A (Mr. Marlin, Ms. Togashi, Mr. Waterman-Reilly, and  Ms. Yamane) 
request donations of boxes of facial tissue (Kleenex, Scotties or other) as the 
flu and cold season approaches.

Please label all donations with your name and the name of the recipient, 
and then bring them to the school main office.  Mahalo!

REFLECTION – With deep respect and gratitude, we honor the many military
women and men who have served our country and made tremendous sacrifices 
to protect our freedom in the United States. Mahalo!

May we never forget, freedom isn’t free…
