SUPPORT KMS SCHOOL SERVICES STAFF – Buy school lunch

At the beginning of every school  year, School Food Services Branch monitors our daily breakfast and lunch count for a one month period.  This count determines the staffing level in our cafeteria. If the total number of meals served is low, we may lose some of our hard-working cafeteria ohana.

Please show our cafeteria staff your appreciation for the care that they put into every meal that they prepare and serve, by purchasing breakfast and lunch everyday in our cafeteria. The monitoring period has already begun and will end on September 15.

Mahalo for your support!

FREE AND REDUCED PRICE SCHOOL MEALS
The National School Lunch program is a federally assisted program based on family income eligibility which provides free or reduced price student meals.

Students who had meal benefits last school year, must reapply for the current school year (last year’s benefits expire on September 17).

Parents/guardians may submit applications online  at https://secure.ezmealapp.com/ApplicationScreen.aspx or request a form from the school main office (Bldg A, second floor). Processing deadline of applications is September 17, so submit your applications early and allow at least two weeks for processing.

REFLECTION

“It’s only after you’ve stepped outside your comfort zone that you begin to change, grow, and transform.”                                                                                           ~ Roy T. Bennett, author of The Light in the Heart

Mahalo Kawananakoa families for your kind attention and enthusiasm for our school. It has been a pleasure serving as your PCNC and I will forever remember all the kindness, patience, and support that I experienced at Kawananakoa.

A hui hou – until we meet again,

Ann Yasui
