KMS SUMMER SCHOOL information booklets and application forms for

Enrichment courses and Credit Recovery courses are available now in the

school main office (Bldg A, 2nd floor) or you may download and print

the forms below.

Completed and signed forms along with full tuition payment must be

received by Friday, May 3.  Please follow the registration procedure as

outlined in the information booklet.

The summer term begins on Wednesday, June 12 and ends on Wednesday,

July 10.

SAVE THE DATE!  Friday, April 26 – Summer Programs Fair and STEAM Showcase

2:15 to 3:30 pm – Summer Programs Fair in the KMS library will bring

together representatives from various summer programs in our community

to share their program information and application forms with our KMS ohana.

If you haven’t decided what your child will do this summer, please walk

through our fair and pick up information and forms from:  Kawananakoa

Middle School Summer School, Roosevelt High School, US Tennis Association,

KMS CyberCamp, Boys & Girls Club of Hawaii, State Library Summer Reading

Program, Nuʻuanu YMCA, Palama Settlement, Summer Fun-Booth, Lanakila and

Puunui Parks, Police Activities League (PAL sports teams), and more.

3:30 to 5:30 pm – STEAM Showcase   in the KMS cafeteria will celebrate excellence

in student work. Enjoy displays, demonstrations, interactive activities and a performance

by the KMS Advanced and Chamber Orchestra.

Any student who:

  • will be attending a private school,
  • will be attending a public school outside of the Honolulu district,
  • will be moving to another island, the mainland or abroad, during the next school year (2019-20), should notify the KMS registrar immediately.

These students will receive a Request for Release form for his/her parent to

complete.  These students will receive a release packet which they will need to

submit to their next school.

IMPORTANT REMINDER – Student Fees and Obligations

In order to participate in upcoming student events, student fees ($30) and

other financial obligations (lost/overdue library and text books, negative

meal account balances) must be paid in full and kept up to date.

Please come to the school main office to settle your account in cash, before

the day of the student event.

Thank you to our many KMS parents, students, teachers and staff for

making PTSA KMS FEST 2019 a success!  It took many hands and much

collaboration to create this fantastic evening of food and fun for our

KMS families.  Thank you to all who participated – we look forward to

having everyone join in again next school year!


April  25. This testing in Math and English Language Arts is aligned with the

Hawaii Common Core Standards and designed to measure whether students

are “on track” as they prepare for college and careers.

10:00 am to 2:00 pm

Imu cooked kalua pig (frozen) – $10 for 1 lb

Ju-Mui Ice Pops – $10 for pack of 4 (strawberry, vanilla, lychee, POG, green river, or pineapple)

Proceeds will be used to support KMS Band instrument repairs and purchases, band

clinics, transportation costs, camps, and more!
