All 8th graders who will be participating in the Career Shadow field trip next Friday, should remember to wear their red t-shirt uniform. Students who are not in uniform will be held back.

Students will not be able to bring bags/purses/back packs  on the field trip.  These bags should be left at home or stored in their lockers before they get on the field trip buses.
Please ensure that your child comes to school well rested, well nourished and on time so that they can fully enjoy this off-campus learning experience.

Congratulations to all 20 of our KMS CyberPatriot team members who participated in the recent National Youth Cyber Education program, CyberPatriot-X. This competition  promotes awareness of cybersecurity by delivering a basic cybersecurity education in a competitive format.  

Our KMS team celebrated the sub-team of Matthew Fujioka, Junjie Huang, Anson Liang and Tony Lu  who took Second Place (out of of 30 middle school teams) in the State level competition.  Read more about their experience in the upcoming KMS Newsletter.

KMS WRESTLERS HIT THE MAT again tomorrow at King Intermediate 9:00 to 11:00 am.  Support Mr. Yamagata and his exciting team of grapplers!

Thank you to the aunt of Evan Yasutake, who donated much needed paper cups for Team 7B and to the family of Ryan Nguyen for the boxes of facial tissue for Team 7A.  Our teachers not only appreciate the generous donations, but are also grateful for your continued show of support. Warmest mahalo!

TEACHERS’ WISH LIST – Help our teachers, help our students!
Ms. Teixeira (Counselor) requests new or slightly used board games and other quiet activities like Lego building blocks to promote positive social interaction in her classroom.

Ms. Turbeville’s award winning speech team would like to replace their small stash of cookies which was taken from their storage space.  If you would like to help them, please donate packaged cookies (hint: they really like Oreos and chocolate chip!). 

Ms. Lulla (English) requests boxes of facial tissue (Kleenex) for her classroom.

Ms. Guardino’s (English Language Learners )classes are also in need of facial tissue  as well as new or gently used Dictionaries, English-to-Chinese/Chinese-to-English as well as English-to-Tagalog/Tagalog-to-English.  

Mr. Lee (English) needs new or used chapter books of all reading levels for his classroom library.  

Team 7A teachers (Ms. Bott, Ms. Sepulveda,and Ms. Togashi) are requesting boxes of facial tissue (Kleenex).
